"With music, one's whole future life is brightened. This is such a treasure in life that it helps us over many troubles and difficulties. Music is nourishment, a comforting elixir. Music multiplies all that is beautiful and of value in life." - Zoltan Kodaly
I recently graduated from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. While at Susquehanna, I was an active member of the University Choir, Chamber Singers, Men's Glee Club, Chorale, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Stadium Band, and various other ensembles. I was an active member of the National Association for Music Education and the Lambda Beta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the world's oldest and largest secret national fraternity in music.
During the Fall Semester of 2020 I completed my student teaching placement at Palmyra Area School District in Palmyra, PA, under the direction of Mrs. Alexis Farrell. Throughout my placement, I had the opportunity to teach high school and middle school choir, middle school choir lessons, and 6th grade general music. My responsibilities included running choir sectionals and full choir rehearsals, teaching music theory and ear training during the high school choir and middle school choir lessons, as well as teaching students how to play the drum set, piano, and guitar in the general music classes.
